Women in Engineering Inspiring Positive Change -Juliet Ongesa
Juliet is a mechanical engineer by profession, currently working as a parts analyst at Simba Corporation. The company is a franchise holder for Mitsubishi passenger vehicles and Fuso trucks. Outside work, Juliet mentor’s girls of Grade 6-8 girls at Kibera School for Girls, through a non-governmental organization called Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO). The mentorship program exposes the girls to life outside the slum, making them aware of all the professional and educational possibilities for their lives. When I’m not on the job, Juliet loves running, reading and indulging her love for seeing new places.

Angeline Kalisia is the acting factory manager at a privately owned tea factory in Nandi county. She has bachelors in Agricultural and Bio systems Engineering from Moi University, a registered graduate engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and is currently pursuing her masters in the same field at the University of Eldoret. She has previously worked with a multinational tea producer as an assistant factory manager and also with Mumias Sugar Company both in the factory section as well as the agricultural department. Currently she is a member of Nandi North departmental heads as well as part of covid-19 emergency response team.
