WOMEN IN ENGINEERING SERIES

There have been concerns and questions as to why the number of women considering engineering is reducing and some of those in engineering eventually leave to pursue other careers. The one issue that is constant and often overlooked is the small number of women engineers who the young women and girls can look up to.

Tomorrow and every other Thursday we will be running the #tellyourstory series where we will feature various young women engineers who are inspirational examples.  Show this to your daughter, niece, sister and any woman in your circle. Heck show this to your young son and young men in your circle. We are stopping the math myth. We are encouraging diversity and inclusion. Different is good, different is growth. To all the women engineers out there somewhere, do not shy away always tell your story whenever you get a chance to. Your story is different and unique and it’s all someone is waiting to get inspired.

As my favorite author Keith Ferrazzi says, ” Never Eat Alone”.

Hi! I am Brenda Rombo, a mechanical engineer, a writer and a dreamer but you can call me Bee. In 2014 I started a platform to discuss the various issues and emerging technologies in Engineering. During my years both as a student and an engineer I have always been fascinated with new and emerging technologies and diversity and inclusion.
